It’s Re-Encounter time, and there are a few things you
need to know!
When: 8th - 10th July 2016
Where: Mazenod College, VIC
Once again, Re-Encounter will be held at Mazenod College. Accommodation will be in Classrooms, so we ask those travelling from interstate to please bring sleeping bags and pillows. Billeting is NOT an option, all inter-stater's will be staying at Mazenod. Victorians are also more than welcome to stay at the college.
We understand that you may be limited in terms of what baggage you can bring with you, if you are unable to bring a sleeping bag/bedding or a pillow – please let us know beforehand so we can help you out.
Formation & AGM
This year we are very lucky to have Bishop Mark Edwards OMI speaking to us on Saturday morning.
Saturday afternoon we have set aside time for our AGM and strategic planning session, where we will have the opportunity to discuss issues and improvements for Oblate Youth Australia. We ask that you really think about ways we can improve as a community and remember that this is a chance for members of the community to have their say and share ideas.
Mass & Dinner
This year, Re-Encounter coincides once again with the De Mazenod Family Fundraising Mass & Dinner. The DMFFMD will be held on Friday the 8th July, with Mass beginning at 6:30pm, followed by dinner at the Mulgrave Country Club at 8 pm. We would love to see as many of you as possible at the dinner on Friday night.
The dress code for the Mass & Dinner is semi-formal, so ladies bring your dresses & lads suit up!
On Saturday night we will have mass and dinner as a community as well as some team building activities.
There will be two Airport pick-ups on Friday 8th July. The first pick up will depart the airport no later than 5 pm and the second will depart the airport no later than 7 pm. If you wish to attend the DMFFMD, please be aware that Mass begins at 6 pm and dinner at 8 pm and it is a semi-formal event so you will need to be ready to go.
We have two drop off's planned for Sunday. The first will depart Mazenod at 8:30 am and the second will depart at 5 pm. We are happy to drop people at the station throughout the day if necessary.
